This lovely couple came all the way from Southern CA to get married at the beautiful Salish Lodge & Spa here in Snoqualmie! The bride grew up near Seattle and had always dreamed of getting married at Snoqualmie Falls someday, having visited often as a child. And just a short while ago, this beautiful all grown-up writer from Edmonds got to fulfill that dream when she married a handsome artist and surfer from Southern CA with two wonderful kids of his own. And let me just say that they both looked absolutely amazing! And her dresses (yes, two dresses!) – wow! They were both truly stunning! She went for a subtle Elvish/Lord of the Rings theme for her first gorgeous dress and then an intricately beautiful white gothic lolita dress for her second. Their lovely intimate ceremony and dinner in the Hidden Terrace was the perfect way to celebrate their love with family and friends.

With some recent wet weather, the falls where quite impressive and the occasional rain showers and mist from the falls added to a bit of a moody PNW vibe, eventually giving way to a breathtaking sunset later that evening. Going out for some photographs near sunset, we were completely enveloped in a foggy mist that covered everything. I’m not sure if it was mostly rain, wind-blown spray from the falls, or both, but it quickly enveloped everything and almost completely obscured the nearby falls for a brief period, a testament to how quickly things can change around all that water! But despite the cold and wet, we had an awesome time out there and these two look so in love together as they watched the water cascade almost 300 feet to the riverbed below. Then we went back to rejoin the reception (just before the rain started to kick in again). And the smiles, toasts, and laughter – those all continued into the night in the cozy Hidden Terrace while the raindrops gently pattered against the tent.

The next day we got to hike in to the base of the falls for some photographs of these two newlyweds from a whole different perspective, along with some gorgeous temperate rainforest vibes on the way down. More on that coming soon!

Congratulations you two! I’m so happy for both of you and your new family! Wishing you all the best in your future together as husband and wife – may you have many years of happiness together! Enjoy a few of the highlights from your wedding day!
