Why are wedding photographs so incredibly important?
Life is fleeting. We often don't realize the significance of each and every moment as they are happening (even the smallest ones) until they are already gone. That is why photographs are so incredibly important, especially for the really big moments, like your wedding day. Your day will fly by, but through photographs, we'll freeze those moments in time. Forever. So that months, years, and decades later, you can transport yourselves right back to those moments - back to that place where you shared those experiences of a lifetime together, where you professed your undying love for each other in front of those closest and dearest to you, and where you promised to spend the rest of your lives together.

I photographed my first wedding in 2009 (by myself!) and have been putting my heart and soul into each and every wedding that I photograph ever since. I’m very passionate about creating beautiful, timeless, authentic images for you and providing an amazing experience for you as well. As your wedding photographer, I have two primary goals: to help your wedding run as smoothly as possible and completely rock your world when you see your photographs! As you plan your wedding and throughout your wedding day, I’m there for you. This is your day and I'm dedicated to making sure it is an amazing one! So, if you want to have your engagement session in a remote location, I'm all ears and ready for adventure. If you want a special portrait of you with your grandmother just before you head out to the ceremony, I’ll make that happen too. If you'd like to sneak out of the reception for some sunset photographs of the two of you together, just say the word.

FAQS
1. Do your packages include digital files? YES! All wedding and elopement packages include your own gallery of printable, hi-resolution digital files. You can share it and print them as much as you like!
2. What is the best time of year for an engagement session?
Any time of year is a great time for adventure! Beaches and forests are great any season and less crowded in colder months. But, if you are looking for an adventure elopement in the mountains, particularly higher elevations in WA state, for example, late summer and early fall are often ideal because the snow is generally gone by then and it is still warm. Then again, if you are a snow-lover like me...!
3. What if you have never photographed a wedding at our location?
I THRIVE IN NEW LOCATIONS! Being someplace I've never been really gets my creativity going! That said, I always plan to arrive early to the location so that I can scout around, or if that is not possible, I'll do my best to make a trip out there on an earlier date. I am also quite good at scouting for new locations at places that I have never been to before and finding great shots quickly and I also use various online resources and satellite imagery to scout locations as well.
4. What is the best time of day for photographs of just the two of us?
Sunset and the hour just before sunset (called golden hour) are the best times, by far! If it is a sunny day, this makes a HUGE difference in the quality of the photographs! The hour just after sunset (called blue hour) can also be a great time too for adding a little supplemental lighting and doing something creative. We know that the day often gets packed full of so many things, not the least of which is dinner and the reception, which often coincide with the best light of the day. But it is your wedding day, so if you want it, anything is possible! We recommend telling your planner or coordinator well in advance that you'd like to carve out a little sunset time for photographs of just the two of you. Then, they can look at your timeline and make it happen for you!
5. What if it rains?
I love photographing moody lighting and dramatic skies and rainy days offer some of the best moody PNW lighting there is! I have some umbrellas that I can bring that can look great in photos too and if you'd like to be extra-prepared, you can order some for your whole wedding party too! Bottom line, I like to tell all couples to be prepared to have an amazing time, no matter what the weather turns out to be! After all, this day is all about you and your celebration of your love for each other. No kind of weather can stop that!
6. Can we order a wedding album too?
YES! Wedding albums are the BEST way to showcase your beautiful wedding photographs in a way that artfully tells a story about your wedding day. I'm partnered with one of the best album makers in the world to deliver stunning, luxurious albums with a large assortment of beautiful cover materials available.
7. Will you help us with our timeline?
Absolutely! I've got quite a bit of experience photographing weddings and a very good feel for how long things take, how to maximize your time, and minimize your stress!
