The day after their gorgeous wedding at the beautiful Salish Lodge & Spa, I met up with these two lovely newlyweds and their entourage for a little adventure hiking in to the bottom of Snoqualmie Falls. With the mossy trees and all the freshly new spring growth, it was quite a scenic little hike – so scenic in fact that we stopped among the trees and ferns on the way down for some beautiful enchanted rainforest vibes. Her gorgeous dress had the perfect slightly elvish/Lord of the Rings feel and they both looked amazing in the rainforest. We could have just stayed there – it was so dreamy! And I’m often struck by how much this resembles the famed Hoh rainforest in pretty much every way. With the sun finally trending lower, we made our way down the muddy slopes to the riverbed and the bottom of the falls. With all of the recent rain, the river was running high, but we still found a good vantage point to get close enough to feel the spray coming off. And while it may look easy from up above on the observation decks, it’s actually quite tough getting around down there because, in addition to the mud and somewhat slick rocks, the wet logs are extremely slippery. You have to take it very careful and slow, especially with a wedding dress! …or multiple cameras slung over your shoulders!😉
Congratulations you two! You looked absolutely incredible and I’m so glad we had a great dry (and warmer) day for you! Seriously, it was perfect! Enjoy a peek at a few of the many highlights from your adventure into Snoqualmie Falls!
