I had photographed her older sister a few years ago for her high school senior portraits, so we headed back to Discovery Park in Seattle for this amazing senior on what was (literally) the last day of summer! She does the swim team for her school and apparently they share a pool with other schools, so she has to to report for 5:00 am swim practice, or was it 5:30 am? Either way, that is just insane – no high schooler should have to be up that early! I certainly commend her dedication there! And she also does track and plays basketball too! She’s looking to possibly study early childhood development in college and loves working with kids. We saw what looked like a Brownie troop outing or something like that at the park and she said it brought back fond memories for her!
We explored Discovery Park (it’s huge!) and had an awesome time, catching some amazing light, plenty of wind, and plenty of beautiful portraits too! We even made a visit to the lighthouse beach at the end, which was crazy there were so many people! I think there were maybe 50 photoshoots all going on in that same area, virtually all high school seniors as well! I kid you not! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it! And while I’m certainly no huge fan of AI, I am grateful (for the time being at least) for how much easier it is to remove so many people from the background these days! 🙂
Thank you so much for the awesome session! It was so great spend the afternoon with you and your parents! Congratulations to this wonderful high school senior and the class of 2027!
