September is one of those months where a trip into the mountains could bring snow or it could end up being 70 degrees up there. And on the official last day of summer, we definitely had the latter, with a surprisingly warm day (even above 5000 feet) for M & A’s engagement session in the North Cascades. And it was absolutely incredible! First of all, these two are a super super fun couple! Their smiles are infectious and I remember so much laughing throughout! But perhaps what struck me the most was how really great they are together. You can pretty much tell instantly that they absolutely love being around each other. It shows in the way they hold hands, put their arms around each other, and how looking at each other instantly brings genuine smiles – the kind that can block out the rest of the world completely and all that matters is the two of you together in this moment.
So yeah, we had a pretty awesome time up there! They both are in shape, so we were able to cover a lot of territory, starting in the lower areas, including walking down to the bridge and then up to the ridgeline as we approached sunset. We even got some beautiful reflections in some of the snowmelt pools. These two looked amazing and I loved capturing their laughter and smiles (and of course their signature jump moves too)! 🙂 They met during COVID and enjoyed talking for hours on end, even if it had to be 6 feet away. And since then, they’ve been on numerous adventures together. Oh, and I think it’s also super cool that they proposed to each other about 2 weeks apart!
Congratulations you two! I had an awesome time with you capturing your love for each other in the beauty of the North Cascades! I’m super excited to photograph your wedding next Spring! Enjoy some of the highlights from your engagement session!
