What a gorgeous family! I met up with this wonderful family of seven at a beautiful lake in the Cascade Mountains for a winter family session in the snow! They had travelled all the way from Texas to spend some time in Leavenworth and the surrounding area and wanted to get some beautiful photographs of their family in the snow with the lovely mountain scenery. Mission accomplished! I’m so glad we got to capture these images for them!

After the warmest December on record around here (thanks El Nino!), there wasn’t a lot of snow at the lake level, but enough to make things white for us and the mountain scenery certainly didn’t disappoint! After several days in a row of fog and low visibility, we lucked out and had plenty of visibility. But while it wasn’t especially cold, the wind was seriously gusting on us, chilling everyone to the bone and doing all sorts of crazy things with hair! But this lovely family braved the icy wind beautifully and they all looked absolutely amazing out there! They are really such a sweet, newly blended family and really, you would never know it since they all seem so close and comfortable with each other that it is as if they had all grown up together!
