Congratulations to this lovely couple who tied the knot at the beautiful Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa in Kirkland! Technically, they were already married (for over a year), but with their families located in India and Taiwan, the pandemic prevented them from having the ceremony and reception celebration that they always wanted. I’m so happy that they were able to finally bring everyone together to celebrate with them!

Beginning with a Taiwanese-style tea ceremony and incorporating some Hindu traditions, like the garland exchange for their ceremony, it was an absolutely beautiful multicultural fusion wedding! They both looked incredible in their multiple outfits (3 each!), with her beautiful sari and it’s intricate details definitely among the highlights! And while it was a little chilly for June, the drizzle and fog burned off and allowed us to see the Seattle skyline across Lake Washington. And of course, I always love me some dark, moody skies! 🙂

This is also the first wedding I have photographed in which the groom was served a McDonalds Happy Meal during the reception by his best man! And that right there is one of things I love about being a wedding photographer – every wedding is different and often full of great surprises to capture! And they had some great dance performances just before the open dance floor party at the end!
