It was a warm, cloudless summer day when T & D tied the knot at SoDo Park in Seattle. And it all started on a house with a deck in Ballard that overlooked the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, where T had three first looks, beginning with her bridesmaids, then her father, and finally her groom! It was beautiful capturing everyone’s reactions and her two-piece dress with a sequin top was absolutely stunning! He wore a blue suit with a light pink tie that complemented quite nicely. And their adorable little dog Levi was there to participate too! I love capturing wedding parties getting ready. There is always so much excitement, laughter, and anticipation. And it is always fun to see how each bride and her crew approach things. For example, I discovered a new use for chopsticks – they can be used for threading the buttons on a wedding dress through the loops! In fact, they worked so well that I’m considering carrying a pair in my camera bag for future weddings! And the wedding party also made good use of a pair of pliers (which, by the way, may very well be a must-have if anyone in your wedding is wearing suspenders)! Seriously, this was such a fun group and capturing them getting ready was certainly among the highlights for me! And I think it goes without saying that these two make a very lovely couple!
Once everyone was ready, the wedding party headed off to the couple’s brewery in SoDo for some time to chill and enjoy time with each other while sipping cold beer just a few blocks from the venue. And what a cool venue SoDo Park is! I loved the high ceilings and vintage industrial vibes there! Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful and there were so many epic moments from the emotional dances and speeches to the dance celebration that lasted well into the warm summer night.
Congratulations you two! Thank you so much for the opportunity to photograph your beautiful wedding! Enjoy a sneak peek at a few of the many highlights!
