On a recent trip back to the Bay Area, I had the opportunity to photograph Erika & Manj’s beautiful San Francisco wedding, held at the classic Westin St. Francis hotel in Union Square. Erika looked absolutely stunning in her elegant, vintage-inspired two-piece gown and Manj was the perfect handsome complement in his fitted royal blue suit. Whether it was inside the hotel or outside on Powell St., these two looked incredible celebrating their wedding day with classic, old San Francisco architecture in the background. But the thing I loved most about this wedding was just how perfect they are for each other. Seeing them together, you can just tell they click in every way, embracing and adoring each other’s unique mannerisms in a way that only two people meant for each other truly can. The way Erika’s eyes sparkled while mentioning Manj and his teas… I can tell she loves that about him. And I had the pleasure of seeing Manj firsthand as he prepared some tea while getting ready for the wedding. For Manj, it’s actually more about the process than the tea iteslf – the steam, the aroma, and the pause from the day’s hustle to partake in a relaxing routine and enjoy one of life’s simple pleasures. I also saw how much Erika’s background in and love of dancing (actually they both love dancing) has brought them together as well. In fact, it was a mutual joy of releasing energy on the dance floor that helped bring them together! And just wait until you see some images from their first dance (in the next post) – amazing!!! These two are among the sweetest couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and I’m so happy for them! And they get bonus points for living in Fremont, which is where I used to live! 🙂
Congratulations Erika & Manj! I had so much fun working with both of you and wish you all the best in your new lives together as husband and wife! Enjoy your first sneak peek at a few of the many highlights and there is much more coming soon in part II!
Erika’s expression here pretty much sums up the excitement! I love it!
I love these images with Erika and her daughter.
Part II coming soon!
