It was a cool and wet October day when this wonderful couple got married at the lovely Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie. We had planned to head out to a nearby lake to get photographs of the two of them before their ceremony later that afternoon, but the forecast had been steadily gettting worse all week leading up to their wedding day. But in the final hours, a window of dry opened up for us and we went out by the lake armed with a few clear umbrellas (just in case) and had the entire place pretty much to ourselves! It was incredible! Seeing the joy that these two share together was enough to warm the spirits and when it started sprinkling, we didn’t even care. They just kept having fun together and I kept capturing the connection they share. And I have to say there is something about cool, moody skies contrasted with the warm, gentle connections between two people in love. And I think that is a big reason why so many people come from all over to celebrate their love here in the Pacific Northwest. And anyone who’s every worked with me knows that I love me some moody skies!

After our amazing time at the lake, we went back so these two could get married and celebrate with their families and friends. It was a beautiful ceremony and they incorporated so many personal touches into their wedding, including creating their own centerpieces themselves, along with the gifts for the guests, and a flip poster for their ceremony. All of their personal touches helped in a sense to retell the story of their relationship that began over long distance, gaming, and chatting together for hours on end. Now, they’ll get to spend the rest of their lives together.
