They got engaged after 5 years of dating with Mount Si in the background, so it was only fitting that they should be married in front of Mount Si as well! And with it’s large meadow at the base of the mountain, North Fork Farm was the perfect place for these two, with its stunning views of Mount Si. They both met at the UW running cross-country and track and have been together ever since. In fact, there were quite a few distance runners among the wedding party. The bride (and her younger brother) both went to Mount Si High School and hold a number of the school cross-country and track records, which is pretty cool! I got to meet these two for the first time in person last summer when we did a hike on Mount Rainier up to a pretty incredible spot. Not only did they look amazing (she wore a stunning red dress and he wore a very nice complimentary blue suit), but we pretty much flew up the mountain carrying all of our stuff. Yes, these two are in shape!
Their wedding day was quite spectacular, with beautiful floral decor and amazing views of Mount Si. But my favorite parts were the smiles, the hugs, the laughter, and the tears of joy. These moments made this wedding so incredibly beautiful. And there were so many of them too! From each of them getting ready with their close friends and family, to their beautiful first look, to their lovely ceremony on the lawn, to the father of the bride’s heartfelt speech that had everyone tearing up, to the many incredible moments throughout their reception and dancing that followed, all the way to their sparkler sendoff, it was an absolutely incredible day!
