I met up with this lovely couple for their adventure engagement session at the trailhead leading to a nearby waterfall in the Cascades. It was a warm summer day and the spray from the waterfall felt sooo good after a little hike! Our original plan had been to hike up to lake, but snow lingering at the higher elevations persuaded us to stay a bit closer to sea level. I’m glad we did because we had an absolutely amazing time exploring the falls and then visiting some more nearby places, passing right underneath some chairlifts in the process! With the recent snowmelt, the wildflowers and lady ferns were coming into full bloom. The trees were also starting to grow new budding needles, so there was so much lush greenery. It really was a magical time to be there. Of course, with the wildflowers typically also come the mosquitos, but these two rocked it out there anyway! They both love the outdoors and their new home here in the Pacific Northwest. I also discovered that she’s got some very talented distance runners in the family as well (herself included)! Super cool!
Thank you both for the wonderful adventure engagement session! It was so much fun hanging out with both of you and capturing these images! Enjoy the sneak peek and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding later this fall!
