Finding a little adventure for your engagement photography session doesn’t necessarily require trekking up mountains. Sometimes you can find adventure closer to home or even in a city park. That’s exactly what we did for Lyric and Monico’s adventure engagement session. We met up at Seattle’s Discovery Park and just kind of figured out our way as we went, with the only real “plan” in mind was that we wanted to end at the beach at sunset. The rest we just pretty much left up to… discovery! I had never been to Discovery Park (amazingly!) and I always enjoy exploring new areas. Plus, these two are an amazingly fun couple! They were up for anything and we wandered around all over the place, finding some cool forested areas, dreamy open fields, gorgeous fall colors, amazing views of the Puget Sound, and plenty of gorgeous coastline. And there is a historic lighthouse! We must have walked at least several miles (the park is HUGE and there is no parking whatsoever anywhere near the beach without some random parking permit that apparently nobody has, since the one lot there was completely empty of cars, but there sure were plenty of signs saying how you’ll be towed within seconds of attempting to park there without a parking permit, so…). Oh, but there is a sewage treatment plant just on the other side of said unusable parking lot with tons of unsightly concrete and… other things… Ahhh, the city…!
Thank you both for the amazing engagement session! I had a blast with both of you and you rocked it out there! You look sooo good together! I’m excited for your wedding at JM Cellars next Summer! Enjoy the sneak peek at a few of the many highlights!
I almost walked right into this one while getting into position for a shot (I think it is a Garden Orb Weaver)!
Love this photoshoot! So real and natural.
