This lovely couple came all the way from New York to get married at the beautiful Salish Lodge & Spa and Snoqualmie Falls. And the groom’s family came all the way from England to join their intimate ceremony and reception celebration!

It was an incredible day, with the late summer sun filtering in towards the evening, perfect for som golden hour portraits of the couple before the sun disappeared over the hills. They looked absolutely amazing! And while I don’t usually draw comparisons when it comes to my couples, I couldn’t help but immediately notice the bride’s striking resemblance to Jennifer Connelly! And her hair was actually done by the groom’s mother! I was a little surprised at first to see his mom busy with the curling irons, hair spray, and combs, but soon learned that it is actually an English tradition for the groom’s mother to do this for her son’s bride! After photographing weddings for 15 years, I’ve never seen this before! But it was quite fun to photograph and his mom certainly did a wonderful job on her hair! And perhaps it is fitting then that the bride’s brother would then officiate their beautiful wedding ceremony!

The bride’s bouquet, along with the floral decor for the ceremony and reception in the Hidden Terrace was absolutely beautiful, provided by Rachel Quinata Olympia Blooms! It certainly made for a wonderful evening of food, dessert, and toasts on the long table in the Hidden Terrace.
