This absolutely gorgeous fusion wedding was originally planned for the summer of 2020… but, like so many other couples, these two were forced to reschedule. And then reschedule again… They had planned a large, elaborate, multi-day celebration, bringing in family from multiple countries. But even with the outlook improving in the summer of 2021, many were still unable to travel, so they postponed it again for 2022. And what a celebration it was! They say that good things come to those who wait and I have to say that this is a perfect example. They could have gone ahead in 2021 and had a more simplified wedding with less family and friends able to attend, but they chose to wait because family is that important to them. They wanted to see everyone and celebrate together. And so, in the beautiful front yard of the groom’s childhood home, they were married in a Hindu ceremony in front of hundreds of family and friends. And on the next day, they had a western style ceremony at the stunningly gorgeous Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island. It was a long time coming, but it was so very worth the wait!
She wore a stunning red lehenga with absolutley gorgeous detailing. Coupled with his sherwani, they were quite a striking pair! The grounds were beautifully decorated throughout, with a dance floor set up as well for a Bollywood lesson and dancing into the night! I always love how Hindu ceremonies involve participation from the parents of both the bride and the groom, as well as other family members. And in a multicultural wedding like this, it invites even more opportunity for families to come together.
Congratulations to B and P! You both make an absolutely lovely couple and it was such a pleasure to work with you and your families. Seeing you together, I can tell that you are meant for each other! Enjoy your first sneak peek and there is so much more to come!
