I’m so grateful for the families I’ve had the honor and privilege of photographing every year. It’s amazing seeing how fast their kids grow up – if only we could just freeze time! But, there’s also great joy to be had in seeing them grow and in seeing the kind of big kids and ultimately adults that they become. I’ve photographed this family since their youngest was barely walking. I remember their first session – capturing him walking across a grassy field with a big cowboy hat on his head and a huge grin on his face. We’ve been to some beautiful parks, the beach, they even came up to the Seattle area two years ago for their last session and we captured some dramatic images near Snoqualmie Pass. The pandemic prevented us from having a session last year, but I’m so glad I was able to meet up with them while I was in the Bay Area for a wedding. We went to a park along the Bay, close to where I used to live and where I used to run all the time, but somehow never took a family to for a session. It’s wide open space poses a bit of a challenge on a sunny day, but it’s got tons of space to roam and a dramatic quality that you just don’t find at typical parks, so I’m glad we gave it a go, even if we didn’t get those overcast skies that I wanted and that my weather app had promised! Plus, I have to admit, that golden light at sunset was pretty amazing too! 😉
Thank you all for another absolutely wonderful session! It was so great to see you all again! You all looked incredible out there and it was a fun little adventure! I’m looking forward to our next one! Enjoy a peak at a few of the many highlights!
