What an amazing adventure this extended family photography session was! We met up at one of my favorite spots at Snoqualmie Pass and while we had some sunshine, a chilly wind was whipping through the I-90 corridor and as the sun receded, it was getting colder by the minute, so we travelled to nearby Gold Creek Pond, where cover of trees (and surrounding mountains) would block much of that wind. With it being fall (and a weekend during peak photo-shoot season), cars and people were literally everywhere! I’ve never seen anything even remotely like it there (and I’ve been to this place countless times)! It was, for all intents and purposes, an absolute zoo and while I always make it a point to avoid crowded places for photographs at all costs, my plan to escape the wind at least worked in our favor and the kiddos were much warmer and happier! And, luckily, we were able to squeeze ourselves into some great spots while we were there too and capture some beautiful images for these lovely families!
I’m so glad we were able to capture these images for these families who recently moved to the Pacific Northwest from the Northeast! Fall can be a challenge, especially in the mountains where it can be considerably colder than Seattle, but we rocked it nonetheless! Thank you all for the wonderful session and enjoy a peek at a few of the many highlights!
This little guy LOVED throwing rocks into the puddle!
