Happy Holidays and greetings from Washington State!!! My family and I left the warm, cozy confines of the Bay Area and headed north. We’ve wanted to have a place to call our own for some time now and when my wife recently took a job in Seattle, that finally happened! It was a difficult decision to leave the Bay Area – a place we have called home for so many years. We’ll miss the Bay Area! But we’re also excited to finally have a place of our own. We now live about 30 minutes from Seattle in a town called Snoqualmie, located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and just minutes from Issaquah, Bellevue, and the greater Puget Sound Area. Admittedly, it is not nearly as sunny here and it is considerably wetter, but it is soooo beautiful! The mountains are so close that I feel I can almost reach out and touch them… and the trees…! Suffice to say, I am very much looking forward to embarking on many wonderful photographic adventures here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
For all of my absolutely wonderful clients in the Bay Area, I have so many fond memories photographing your families and weddings over the years and I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to work with you. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart! Words really can’t describe how much I have enjoyed these past several years. You are all the best clients any photographer could ever hope for! And while I may no longer live in the Bay Area, this doesn’t have to mean goodbye! It is just a two-hour inexpensive round-trip flight, so I will be traveling back to the Bay Area several times each year. I would be honored to continue photographing your family (or your wedding) and working my magic to capture those beautiful smiles and incredible moments. 🙂
My first trip back to the Bay Area for family sessions will be the weekend of February 24-25. If you would like to book a session in the Bay Area for your family that weekend, please let me know as soon as possible since space will be limited to one morning session and one afternoon session those dates. Check back (and Facebook as well) for updates. I’ll add more dates once we get a little more settled here in our new home.
For weddings, please contact me for availability.
I hope your 2017 was amazing and I hope your 2018 is even better! Happy New Year!
Warm Regards,
James Long
P.S., it started snowing on Christmas eve, so I thought I would end with a few quick snaps of my daughter having some fun in the snow in our new neighborhood!
