The saying “good things do come to those who wait,” holds true for weddings too. Indeed, waiting has become an all-too-common theme for couples looking to get married these past few years. Whether it is waiting until travel restrictions are lifted so that family can fly in, waiting for local mandates to ease and allow gatherings again, or waiting until the vaccine became readily available for all, couples have faced some pretty new and unprecedented challenges. Kai and Shruti wanted to have their dream wedding at the beautiful Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside, CA. And I think all of that perseverance and waiting made their absolutely gorgeous wedding all the more sweet when it finally happened.
From the pre-wedding events in the days preceding all the way until the sendoff after the last song on the dance floor, it was a grand celebration, to say the least! They both looked absolutely amazing and we loved Shruti’s stunning lehengas with so much intricate detail!
Thomas Fogarty Winery is situated about 2000 feet above sea level, with incredible views of the Bay Area below. The views, the natural vineyard setting, and it’s covered outdoor deck for receptions make it one of the Bay Area’s premier wedding destinations and provided a beautifully dramatic backdrop for Kai’s baraat and their Hindu wedding ceremony on the lawn. And who doesn’t love it when the bride and groom get showered with flower petals??!! That was the perfect way to end a perfect ceremony!
Congratulations Kai and Shruti! I’m so glad you were able to have such a beautiful wedding and we are honored to have been given the opportunity to photograph it! Thank you – we had an incredible time with you and your family and friends! Enjoy your first sneak peek at a few of the many highlights, and more are coming soon!
To get past these ladies and marry Shruti, Kai will need cash. Lots of cash…! Fortunately, his sister was able to help him out! 😉It only takes a few seconds to steal the groom’s shoes and it’s quite a lucrative few seconds because he’ll pay top dollar to get them back after the ceremony! 😉
