I met up with this absolutely lovely couple and their young golden retriever on the eastern side of the Cascades for their adventure engagement session. With so much snow still at the higher elevations, we picked a spot where we knew the snow would be pretty much gone, which made getting around so much easier. We lucked out with a warm (and dry) day and had an amazing time exploring the area. Retrievers are known for their ability to catch and fetch things and this one is certainly no exception there! In fact, she loved catching snow balls in her mouth! Actually, she loved the snow in general. period. When we first met up, at the parking lot, I remember seeing her fur all wet and wondered how she had already gotten into water, since the lake was a ways away, but it turns out, she got out of the car and ran to the first snow patch she could find and rolled around in it! I love it and totally get it – I’m a big fan of the snow too, although I don’t always roll around in it, unless of course, it is that light, fluffy, dry, powdery kind… 😉
These two looked absolutely amazing out there and I really loved capturing them together with Luna, their dog. Together, they make such a beautiful family! When her tung hangs out, Luna looks like she’s smiling too!
Thank you all for the great little adventure! I had so much fun with you and can’t wait to photograph your wedding in the San Juans this summer! Enjoy a sneak peek at a few of the many highlights from your engagement session!
