It was the first weekend in October, but already the weather was starting to make a big turn, transitioning into that greyer, moodier PNW vibe that I look forward to every summer. These two had reached out just a few days before and a last-minute rescheduling opened up my calendar for that coming Saturday. They love hiking and the mountains, so we settled on a hike up to a beautiful lake nearby and had an incredible time capturing them amidst the gorgeous scenery and the fog that kept drifting in and out, partially enshrouding the landscape in its mysterious yet dreamy embrace. It was absolutely beautiful! But the highlight was certainly this beautiful couple from Seattle and the love that they share together. Their smiles, laughs and the fact that they could hardly keep their hands off each other made us all forget the chill wind blowing through and revel in the moment. And I loved their outfits too!
We wandered around quite a bit, logging another mile or two once we got to the lake as well, but it was so worth it. We found an area full of wild blueberries and captured a few images of these two snacking on them together. I have to say, they were quite tasty, with just the right amount of tartness. While many of the fall colors had already come and gone at this elevation, we still found pockets of brush containing vibrant oranges and yellows among the evergreens, which provided a beautiful contrast of color against the grey, moody skies. The following weekend, this area we were in would already be covered in snow.
Thank you both for the absolutely amazing afternoon! It was so great to meet you and capture the love you share together in such a beautiful place. Congratulations and have an amazing wedding in Mexico this next January!!!
