San Francisco Wedding Photographer | Amy & Harish at the Fairmont Hotel: Part I

It is not too often that we get to photograph a Hindu-Jewish fusion wedding, let alone one at the famous Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. And I should also add that for the reception, it was none other than the gorgeous Asian Art Museum in the Civic Center Plaza! With so much to show, I’m going to have to break this wedding into multiple posts. So let’s start with the beginning: The preparations and the groom riding in on a horse to meet his bride’s family (called the baraat).

When it comes to a baraat celebration, there’s hardly a more dramatic location than downtown San Francisco. As Harish road the horse down California St. to the Fairmont Hotel (to be welcomed by the bride’s family), it was everything I could have hoped for as a photographer… and then some! Suffice to say, he looked absolutely spectacular and the celebratory energy was tremendous!

Spectacular is pretty much going to be the word for this gorgeous wedding. Amy looked absolutely stunning in her red and gold lengha, with beautifully intricate henna designs on her hands and feet. So much color and detail, it really is a feast for the eyes! Congratulations Amy & Harish! We had an amazing time photographing your wedding and now I’m thrilled to be able to show you a few of the many highlights!
