San Francisco Bay Area Wedding Photographer | Arun & Nishi’s Sikh Ceremony

I photographed this lovely couple last Spring for their engagement session in San Francisco. We had such a great time that I knew their wedding was going to be absolutely amazing. It would span nearly two full days – the first day for a Sikh ceremony in Fairfield and the second day would be their Hindu ceremony and reception at the Hyatt Regency in Sacramento. Suffice to say, it was nothing shy of spectacular! Nishi’s pink and turquoise lengha with gold accents for day one was simply stunning and I loved how Arun coordinated perfectly with her. Today’s post features a sneak peek of day one -their Sikh ceremony at the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Fairfield.

Congratulations Arun & Nishi! I had a wonderful time working with both of you and can’t wait to show you day 2! For now, enjoy this first sneak peek!

I love this one – it was a bright afternoon, but we found some good light and these super cool columns around the Fairfield City Hall, so I had to show this one first! 🙂

016The milni is where the two families meet and exchange garlands and gifts. I love this one of the bride’s father hugging the groom before the ceremony.I love this one with the bride’s father attempting to pick up the groom’s father!
Nishi had some pretty awesome bridesmaids too! This moment shows the bride’s father “giving her away” to the groom as he places his scarf in her hands.I should mention that it was very windy that day, which made for some great moments… 🙂And I’ll end on a sudden gust, so to speak… 😉Congratulations Arun & Nishi! We wish you many many years of happiness together!
