Half Moon Bay truly is a beautiful place for photographs. Scratch that… virtually the entire California Coast is a great place for photographs! But I have to admit, the wildflowers and grasses that grow along a coast that is foggy for most of the year are my favorite. It’s just beautiful and there’s no other place on earth quite like it.

On this day, as I loaded my cameras in the car to head over to Half Moon Bay, the wind was already blowing hard and it was not very warm at all here by the Bay. Not a good sign when you’re venturing to the coast…! I thought to myself, well, we can get some really cute “bundled-up” baby on the beach shots! When I arrived, it actually wasn’t bad – about 60 degrees which is actually a nice day for the beach around here and the wind seemed to have already run its course for the most part. Good! Then the family arrived and I got to meet their super adorable 6 month old baby girl! And we had an amazing time! They were so much fun to work with and such a wonderful family! And the photographs? Stunning indeed! I know I probably post too many, but there were just sooo many beautiful images! I could have easily posted 100 here…!

We started up on the bluffs. Mom really liked my boxes and brought one of her own – actually from the family business, so this crate has special meaning and it has a great vintage look! I love her super cute smile and the wildflowers in the background too! Perfect!

Look at those baby blue eyes and the blue stripes are perfect too!Then it was down to the beach. We set her down on the sand and I think it was all of about 1 second before the sand went straight into the mouth! Yep, it’s not a baby at the beach session until we taste sand! I can remember my daughter doing the same thing when we first took her to the beach. Priceless expressions!These next shots will have special meaning to this baby girl and her family because that flannel shirt belonged to Mom’s father who tragically passed away before his granddaughter was born. I love this one – I know her smiles would have brought smiles to her loving grandfather too.
