I photographed this wonderful family a few years ago when their little guy was not quite a year old. Now he’s 3 and running around all over the place! I love his haircut and wow is he ever adorable with those suspenders and bowtie! After flying in from Seattle earlier in the day, I met up with this family at a beautiful park in the East Bay for their evening summer family session. It was quite warm and without much of the usual Bay Area afternoon breeze, but it started to cool off throughout the session and their summer attire worked perfectly. I loved the soft colors they used that provided just enough contrast with our surroundings and the only one with a few darker accents was their little guy, with his navy suspenders and bowtie. Mom’s dress was stunning and Dad’s shirt complemented just right. Even their son’s shoes fit the casual style and color scheme spot on! We had talked about there being a lot of brown grass, with some green trees interspersed and you guys nailed it with the outfits! Then, it was just a matter of exploring our surroundings and having fun out there! Their little guy loved sitting on Dad’s shoulders and getting hoisted up!
