A few weeks ago, I made my last trip of the year from Seattle to the San Francisco Bay Area to photograph some wonderful families – families whom I’ve had the great honor and pleasure of photographing on numerous occasions over the years. Every year, I’m absolutely amazed at how much their kids have grown. It seems like only yesterday, they were all so small and some hadn’t even been born yet! As a parent myself, I find myself wishing that I could turn back time and see my own daughter again when she was small – or at least slow time downs so she’ll stop growing up so fast… But time marches on regardless and all that we can do is treasure each and every moment we have with our kids. That is one of the main reasons why I love being a family photographer – I get to create works of art that freeze time, preserving these precious moments we have with those whom we hold dearest in our lives. Yep, it’s pretty cool!
This wonderful family from Fremont (where my family used to live!) has been a longstanding client since their daughter was born. I photographed her as a newborn years ago and then their son as well a few years after that. Now, they’re so much bigger, both running around all over the place, and super super adorable together! I love that first image above – just an amazingly sweet photograph of this pair! We explored one of my favorite parks in the area on a chilly fall morning and had a great time! The kids really loved the puppets I brought and we had endless laughs out of that! I love the outfits that their Mom picked out for the kids and I loved how Mom and daughter matched as well! The embroidered details, textures, and ruffles were perfect! And his suspenders and bowtie were the perfect compliment!
Thank you all for another wonderful session! It was so great to see you all again and capture these (and many more) beautiful images of your lovely family. Enjoy the sneak peek and wishing you a wonderful holiday season!
