I met up with this wonderful family of four for a Spring family photography sessions at Gold Creek Pond, not far from Snoqualmie Pass in the beautiful Cascade Mountains. Hailing from nearby Sammamish, they are avid hikers who love the outdoors. In fact, they’ve even climbed Mount Rainier together, so the mountains, trees, and water at Gold Creek Pond made for the perfect adventure setting. With the snow finally gone, the park was much more accessible and we got the chance to walk the trail around the pond as well. Suffice to say, we had an amazing time, despite the flies that were literally swarming around our heads the whole time! I kid you not! It must be a Spring thing with the recent snow melts – the fly populations growing relatively unchecked for a while until their natural predators can catch up… But seriously, the scenery was just so beautiful that it was totally worth it. And this wonderful family took it all in stride, laughing about the fly situation and having lots of fun anyway! I loved capturing them all having fun together. It really is much more than a collection of beautiful images – it’s also an amazing experience that they shared together as a family. 🙂

I’m so grateful to be surrounded by this much natural beauty. Living just a short drive away from places like this – it is a dream come true for me. The mountains, trees, lakes… it’s just breathtaking. And I’m grateful for meeting wonderful new clients like these here in my new home in Snoqualmie, WA and the greater Seattle area. 🙂
