Every Senior portrait session I photograph is uniquely customized just for that Senior. From location planning, to outfits, mood, posing, etc., I talk with each senior before their session to hear their point of view and learn about the things that interest them, so that I can capture their unique personality. Nothing is cookie cutter. And throughout the session, we explore and find all sorts of interesting light, color compositions, and creative ways of interacting with the elements around us, all the while chatting, laughing, and just having a great time out there.
And so for this senior’s session, we incorporated some interesting colors and background elements in an urban East Side (Sammamish) setting. Rain was threatening the whole time, but luckily held off until we were just about done! He’s a black belt in Karate and looking to go into psychology, possibly forensic psychology. He’s not only a great student, but also a wonderful and thoughtful young man. His all black suit worked quite well among the buildings and concrete and we found some seriously awesome spots to capture these for this amazing senior.
Thank you for the incredible session! It was a lot of fun working with you and I know you are going to go on and do great things in whatever you put your mind to. Congratulations!
