Sammamish Indian Wedding Photographer | James Thomas Long Photography | Parveen’s Maiyan Ceremony

I’m excited to show another sneak peek of Parveen & Dinesh’s Indian wedding. This one features Parveen’s maiyan and chura ceremony, which took place the day before their wedding. And like her fiancé, she was smothered in turmeric paste. But after her maiyan, the bride goes for a quick clean-up and then returns for her chura (chooda) ceremony in which her uncles put the wedding bangles on her wrists, according to Punjabi tradition. Then her aunts and cousins tied the umbrella shaped Kalira jewels onto her bangles. Of course, it ended with a dance celebration!!!

A sneak peek of their wedding day is coming soon – I can’t wait to show it!

I just can’t get enough of her mehndi! It was so beautiful and with such amazing detail!Sammamish Indian wedding photographer James Thomas Long PhotographySammamish Indian wedding photographer James Thomas Long PhotographySammamish Indian wedding photographer James Thomas Long PhotographySammamish Indian wedding photographer James Thomas Long PhotographySammamish Indian wedding photographer James Thomas Long PhotographyTime for the bride’s chura (chooda) ceremony!Sammamish Indian wedding photographer James Thomas Long PhotographySammamish Indian wedding photographer James Thomas Long PhotographySammamish Indian wedding photographer James Thomas Long PhotographySammamish Indian wedding photographer James Thomas Long PhotographySammamish Indian wedding photographer James Thomas Long Photography
