I’m so excited for this absolutely lovely couple who just recently tied the knot on the 1st official day of Spring! And in traditional PNW fashion, it was raining off-and-on and in the mid-40s that afternoon! But, we actually got pretty lucky as the rain seemed to either slow to a sprinkle or stop altogether while we were out there, so we all stayed fairly dry (of course, the next day hiking into the base of Snoqualmie Falls was an entirely different story – you can see that one in my previous post!).
These two came all the way from Savannah, GA to get married at the beautiful Salish Lodge & Spa, overlooking majestic Snoqualmie Falls. And it’s quite interesting how they met. I’m just going to lead with this: she pulled him out of the bottom of a swimming pool when she was 16… I’ll let that soak in for a moment and ramble on to keep building up suspense. Let’s also consider that muscle sinks and he was 180 pounds of it, and well, you know, bones and stuff too for course. But it so happens that he wasn’t actually drowning and didn’t really need rescue. It was actually her final test for lifeguard training, and a difficult one at that!
Suffice to say, she passed her lifeguard test and the two eventually went on to college together, date, and now they’re married! Her dress and veil were absolutely gorgeous and the groom’s tux with green accents looked amazing. Plus, he tied his tie in a triple windsor! I’ve always admired the double windsor, but I’ve never seen anyone at a wedding pull off a triple! Props to the groom on that!
Thank you both for having me capture your special day! It was truly a pleasure working with you and your families and friends! Congratulations you two and I wish you both many years of happiness together as husband and wife! Enjoy a peak at a few of the many highlights from your wedding day!
