I love putting together a unique session for each and every senior I photograph. And it all starts with input from the senior about their interests, style, goals, etc. and from there, we’ll figure out an ideal location for them – one that isn’t just a pretty background, but that also helps them express who they are. There is no one size fits all. Rather, it’s about discovering what moves and inspires them and finding a space that will let their personality shine. And that is exactly what we did for this amazing senior. She loves 90s alternative bands and wanted something artistic, moody, and a bit punk, so we visited a cool place with some incredible graffiti and old abandoned buildings. She (and her parents) loved it!
She also loves nature, especially ferns, moss-covered trees, and that PNW rainforest kind of look, so we all trekked through some awesome forest settings and ended up at the base of a pretty impressive waterfall that you may recognize too! 😉 I’m glad we got out there when we did, because the water level is now incredibly high and the lower falls is no longer as accessible as it was back then! While we were exploring, I was on the lookout for colors that would help her amazing red hair pop out there! And our locations certainly did not disappoint! The first image above is just so fierce and I love how the graffiti colors complement her hair. Just awesome! And the green, moss-covered forest with her red hair was amazing too!
Thank you all for the incredible session! It was so much fun to work you and your incredible senior! Enjoy the sneak peek and congratulations class of 2022!
