We had originally planned to have this lovely couple’s adventure engagement session late last Spring, but the late season snowy weather forced us to reschedule a few times and we ultimately decided to wait until summer when the lower elevation snow would be gone, but then J caught COVID and we had to reschedule again. Fast forward to early Fall and draught, along with relentless wildfire smoke had settled in to the PNW. Trying to dodge the smoke (a challenging and often impossible task this season), we opted for a trail near Mount Rainier that I had never visited, but was on my ever-growing list. I had done my research and knew we’d have amazing scenery and with the fall colors starting to come out, it certainly did not disappoint! And we finished off with amazing views of Mount Rainier as the sun was setting – it was perfect!
We had an amazing time exploring the area, having conversation, and making stops along the way to capture these two in the many beautiful scenes we came across. They both looked incredible and were so much fun to capture together. I always give couples instructions on how to pose and where to go, which direction to face, etc. etc. I also give each couple the freedom to interpret the poses and instructions in their own way, helping them along as they do. I loved how these two interpreted the instructions, doing their own version of things, often laughing as they went about it. It was such a treat to capture!
Thank you both for the absolutely amazing adventure! I’m so glad we finally were able to have your engagement session and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in just over a week! Enjoy the sneak peek and see you both again soon!
