I’m very very excited to post this gorgeous engagement session to kick off the 2012 wedding season – a season that is, literally, just around the corner! Full of breathtaking scenery and at the heart of it all, an absolutely wonderful couple completely in love… I can’t think of a better way to start 2012 weddings!
We met on a recent Sunday afternoon at Sycamore Grove Park in Livermore – a place Michael used to frequent growing up. And while I’m happy to recommend locations, I love it when couples choose the location(s) themselves! I think it adds just that much more meaning to the session… and I’ll have to admit that I’m also a sucker for a little adventure! I love finding new places to photograph and it’s always fascinating how lighting can also change with the scenery, opening up new possibilities around every corner… So, with that in mind, we set off down the path at Sycamore Grove Park… and let me tell you, one needn’t venture far in a beautiful place like that! Curling, twisting Sycamore trees mirrored the couple’s embrace… all amidst grassy meadows with the first hints of Spring…. It was the perfect setting for a country-themed engagement session! Exploring the park during their session I felt like a 5-year-old on Christmas morning. I LOVED it!
We all had a blast! For starters, Brooke & Michael are one of the nicest couples you will ever meet. They have two amazing dogs – one is, well, huge! The other is just the opposite – very small! In fact, Michael proposed to Brooke on their 4 year anniversary while walking their dogs, so of course I had to photograph them as well! Thank you so much Brooke & Michael for the wonderful session! You both looked amazing, with perfect outfits too! And your photographs… absolutely beautiful! And there are many, many more to come! For now enjoy your sneak peek at just a few of the many highlights! And man, we are sooo excited for your wedding in June!!!
Michael is a very talented musician as well!
The small image size I have to use for these posts just doesn’t do this one (and many of these, for that matter) justice at all! You should see them when they fill a huge monitor – amazing!
I loved their boots! Perfect choice!!!
What a beautiful couple!
That “horseshoe” engraved on the tree (no, we didn’t do it!), but that just so happens to be a symbol the couple have incorporated into their wedding theme! What a lucky find! =]
Just beautiful! I see an album cover LOL
We cannot thank you enough for the beautiful work; we absolutely love our engagement photos! We are so excited to be sharing them with our family & friends!!

I have never seen such beautiful pictures. These belong in a magazine for everyone to see. What a talented photographer.
Mike,
Jess didn’t know who you were at first. She said you’ve matured as well…ha ha. Sara knew right away. I’m so happy for you and Brooke. I remember when you first met her. It doesn’t seem so long ago, but my days working with you seem forever ago. Your pictures are beautiful and I agree…Album Cover anyone? Brooke, I know you know this, but you couldn’t have gotten a better guy in the world!
Much Love,
Debbie

Great work! You’ve captured beautiful images of a couple deep in love. Brooke and Mike are very photogenic! I liked the classic shots, but the creative shots as well. The location gave it a rustic feel and it appears that you’ve shown who they are through the images. Best wishes and happy planning π
Photos are great, beautiful, amazing!
Thank you all for the comments! =]
