We lucked out with a warm and dry early spring day for Jordan and Seth’s adventure elopement near Leavenworth, WA. His grandmother owns a lovely cabin along a lake on the eastern end of the Cascades, less than 30 minutes down the hill from Steven’s Pass, which made the perfect place for these two to get ready, share a little food and cake, and from there, head to the nearby trail for their beautiful elopement ceremony. The wind started to pick up that afternoon, but that didn’t stop them from taking a short canoe ride in the lake! It’s really quite a beautiful place away from it all! They both looked amazing! I loved her blue, flowey dress, which looked incredible with her matching bouquet!
After the cabin, we drove to the trailhead and hiked a little over a mile along the trail to have a lovely intimate ceremony along the slope overlooking Lake Wenatchee and the surrounding mountains. It was perfect for this rugged, adventure-loving couple (who actually met on a high ropes course)! We didn’t see any bears out there (thankfully), but we did happen upon a snake on the way down – a snake that Seth identified as a Rubber Boa, a type of non-venomous snake that is local to the area. In the waning light before we had turned on our headlamps, Jordan’s sister literally stepped right over it without noticing and I almost stepped directly on it before stopping myself since it almost looked like an exposed tree root in low light! Seth helped the snake off the trail, so all was good!
Congratulations to Jordan and Seth! I had an absolutely amazing time with both of you! Thank you for letting me spend the afternoon with you capturing your beautiful elopement and enjoy a sneak peek at some of the highlights!
Seth’s grandfather helped get the Steven’s Pass ski area going many years ago and so naturally, there was a chairlift on the back porch! 🙂 Don’t fall 0ff – it’s a long way down!!!
