With it’s jaw-dropping views of Mount Rainier and the surrounding Cascades, Crystal Mountain Resort is ,without question, one of the most beautiful places in all of Washington State to get married. Ever since we moved back to the Pacific Northwest, I’ve wanted to photograph a full wedding here. It was my favorite place in Washington to ski growing up, although I will say that Alpental at Snoqualmie Pass holds a very close second! 😉 Having your wedding ceremony up at 7000 feet at the top of the ski area with majestic Mount Rainier in the background is truly a mountain-lover’s dream! And so, I’m excited to say that this absolutely wonderful, adventurous couple that loves the mountains (possibly as much as I do even!) got to have their dream wedding on a mountain in front of family and friends, with Mount Rainier standing in still, silent witness.

We started the day with these two getting ready down at the base area lodge. They were actually just around the corner from each other, so I was able to swing back and forth a bit to capture the preparation festivities before boarding the gondola to head up the mountain for their first look. I loved her gorgeous dress, with a princess design and layers of tulle, coupled with an absolutely beautiful long veil. Their flowers were lovely too! After a beautiful first look, it was time for their beautiful ceremony overlooking the mountain, with the wedding party making their entrances by coming down the steps from the gondola. I loved capturing the emotion in the groom’s expression as he watched his bride come down the steps and down the aisle. Even though they’d already had a very beautiful first look, nothing can compare to your bride coming down the aisle to marry you. Nothing.
