Hannah and Matt actually were married the day before this photography session, so this was, technically, a post-wedding shoot! We met up at Rattlesnake Lake and the first thing I noticed is that they had that “just married” kind of grin on their faces! Within a few minutes, they were laughing and having fun together out there among the tree stumps. It was a chilly fall day, but they didn’t let that get in the way. Hannah wore an absolutely stunning red dress that looked very dramatic against the wintery Pacific Northwest backdrop! Rain was coming (which actually kept the usual weekend hordes away, thankfully!), but we lucked out there as well and it didn’t actually start raining until right as we were heading out. And with the impending rain at Rattlesnake, we decided to head up a few miles to the pass for some snow shenanigans instead! It’s crazy, I had been up at the pass just a week earlier and there was literally only a dusting of snow on the ground! What a difference a week can make this time of year! Thankfully, they had boots and warmer clothing as we trekked through about 3 feet of snow at Alpental! Wow that was so much fun and it started snowing hard on us by the end!
Congratulations Hannah and Matt! You make such a lovely couple and I had an amazing time with both of you! Enjoy a sneak peek at a few of the many highlights from the day after your wedding!
Yep, it can get deep out there! 😉
