They had a civil ceremony a few years ago with just a few friends, but never got the chance to have a real wedding with their families and friends. And after trying for years to plan a wedding a long distance away while having a long-distance relationship (he’s in Seattle, she’s in Colorado), they decided to have an intimate Hindu wedding here at Robinswood House in Bellevue. And so, with their family, close friends, and their super friendly husky Zeus (who by the way absolutely loves wedding cake (or any cake for that matter)), they were married in the Hindu tradition.
It was a wedding full of emotion, with smiles, hugs, tears of joy, and one of the most thoughtful wedding gifts I’ve ever seen given at a wedding. It was an album full of images spanning both of their childhoods and their journey together as a couple, decorated and with embellishments that only someone who knows them well could create. I could see how deeply touched the couple was by the gift and remember capturing this moment while trying to hold back the tears that were welling up in my own eyes. I’m so happy for these two!
They both looked radiant on this day – the joy they had together, their vibrant colors, her beautiful mehndi… You could see it from their first look when they saw each other all ready to get married and that amazing feeling really sets in – that feeling that “this is the day…”
