When these two reached out about having a wedding up at Mount Baker in May or June when there is still plenty of snow, I have to admit I was pretty excited. I’m a snow lover too. And then when they mentioned they might bring along their cross-country skis, well, suffice to say I got even more excited!
Fast-forward to June 16 and we manage to find plenty of snow for sure! We started things off at their Airbnb in Glacier, then headed up to Mount Baker for a beautiful first look for the couple along a very aptly named picturesque lake. Then, along with their immediate families and a few close friends, we hiked a little ways up the road to a spot these two had scouted out and liked the day before for their wedding ceremony. It was in the snow right by the top of one of the chairlifts, with some trees and views in multiple directions as well. Her parents walked her down and aisle that we made as the guests lined up on either side and they had a beautiful ceremony officiated by two of their closest mutual friends, friends who were also instrumental in how these two met. After the ceremony, they celebrated with some champagne and cake with their guests before we ventured off to get some photographs of these two together and also do a little cross-country skiing! They skied, drank some whiskey, lounged in some fold-up camp chairs and even smoked cigars before we hiked back down after the sun had set. It was a perfect day and the perfect finale for a trip to the North Cascades with family and friends. Then, the next day, these two were off to Bali for their honeymoon!!!
Congratulations you two!!! You both looked absolutely amazing and I had such a wonderful time with you and your families and friends photographing your wedding! Thank you for the honor of letting me capture it for you! Seriously, the skiing was awesome and the perfect way to celebrate your summer snow wedding! I wish you both the best in your new lives together as husband and wife! Congratulations!
