I met up with this beautiful family of three and their extended family at the Washington Arboretum in Seattle on a recent warm spring day when all of the cherry blossoms were in peak bloom. It was their baby boy’s first professional photography session! Doing my usual pre-scouting before the session (something I always do before sessions, even for locations I go to all the time), I counted about 15-20 photoshoots all happening within a relatively small space, primarily clustered around each and every cherry blossom tree! Yes, it was crazy crowded! While such crowds do present challenges when photographing families, especially with a 6-month baby, these three nevertheless rocked it out there!
Their little baby boy is so adorable and I loved that his hair was sticking up in all sorts of crazy ways! I’m not even sure if any amount of product could tame this hair that just wants to stick straight up, so we just went with it! We even got to box him up for some of the images, which was super cute! And their sneakers!!! They all had matching Nike’s that looked so awesome together! My daughter (the sneaker expert in our family) noticed their shoes right away while I was editing the images and mentioned how rare their Off-White Nike’s are! Going for something different and fun with sneakers as a whole family is another great way to add something to your family session that is uniquely you!
Thank you all for the wonderful session! It was a pleasure working with you and your beautiful family out there! Enjoy a look at some of the highlights!
