One of the things I love most about photographing families with little ones is seeing those loving connections between family members – that sheer joy reflected in Mom & Dad’s eyes when they hold up their little one. I love that wonderful feeling you get as a parent when you see your child smile and hear them laugh. And I love to capture that! There is no better sound on earth than the sound of my 4-year old daughter’s laughter and no better sight than watching her explore, have fun, and smile. And seeing similar feelings in the families I photograph is truly a joy to watch! And that’s one of the main reasons I get so excited to post the images from every session (and probably why I get carried away and post a LOT of images too! =] ) – I know these images are going to bring them great joy to see! And if you’ve ever allowed your gaze to linger at a photograph of your own child – to really stare into their eyes and smiling face and feel all of the stress in your life disappear as you lose yourself in that rush of memories that comes pouring in, then you know too. =] Our children are the most precious things in our lives.
So this session took me back to one of my newly discovered favorite parks in San Francisco – Stern Grove. I had actually photographed this baby girl over a year ago when she was just a newborn. I love getting the chance to photograph families again! And did we ever have a blast! Literally, within a few minutes we were getting the most adorable expressions from this little one and she just kept going! Mom & Dad were great too and I captured so many beautiful images – too many, as a matter of fact! =]
Thank you all for another wonderful session and enjoy your sneak peek!
I decided to start with this one – I love her smile showing off those new teeth! Some of the first shots of the evening and some of my favorites too!
She liked the box, but she LOVED my pink chair! (more with this later…!)
She was ready to GO!!!
I love this one – one of my favorites for sure!
And this one too!
Such a cute expression here.
Yep, she loved to pick up (and show us!) leaves and all sorts of things (who doesn’t, right!!!) =]
Thanks James for another wonderful session! I love how you were able to capture Gwen and all her personality in the photos. I LOVE how they turned out.
Oh my goodness, this little one has some of the best expressions I’ve seen on here! She is adorable. Great job James.
