I’m so excited to start sharing some of the images from B & S’s beautiful destination wedding in the Redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains in California. It was a multi-day celebration, starting with a round trip steam train ride with their guests at Roaring Camp Railroad on the first day. I remember taking my daughter to Roaring Camp when she was small (before we moved back to the PNW) and taking the same train ride up and she absolutely loved it! So it was definitely exciting to revisit this place again and I was impressed that one of the conductors played his fiddle for us on the way down!
They had rented out a private train ride for their guests up the small mountain for some champagne at the top and then back down for a pre-wedding dinner at Fern River Resort where they were staying. The train moves pretty slowly, so it was a pretty relaxing ride weaving through the trees at a leisurely pace. It was a hot afternoon, so the shade and the breeze from the movement was just enough to help cool everyone down a bit. Once we got back down, we naturally had to stroll through the Redwoods and capture some images of the lovely couple among the giant trees! It was super fun start to an incredible weekend!
