I got to photograph the engagement and wedding for this lovely couple a while back and now they’ve welcomed an adorable new baby girl into their family, so it was time for another kind of adventure – an adventure family photography session! Seriously, get ready for some extreme cuteness, guaranteed to put a big, ginormous smile on your face!

We lucked out with a warm early fall day in the Cascade mountains for their first adventure family photography session and had an absolutely amazing time! Their eight month old baby girl was full of smiles and adorable expressions as we explored the beautiful fall foliage and hiked out to the lake too. I loved their colors, which tied in so nicely with the fall colors and the darker greens and browns that are ubiquitous to the PNW. But my favorite part about this session was capturing the beautiful connections in this loving family. I loved seeing Mom and Dad hold, snuggle, and play with their baby girl. And I loved capturing all of her beautiful smiles and expressions throughout! They even did some walking with her!

I have to admit, I was slightly worried that by the time we got to the lake, she might be almost ready to call it a day. But it turns out that she was definitely up for some more playing with her Mom and Dad, which was great because the sun was disappearing behind the mountains, giving us some gorgeous views and lighting out there! She even got a kick out of the bucket I brought along!
