Nestled among the tall fir and cedar trees in the Pacific Northwest rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula lies an unassuming, yet gorgeously lush, natural, and exquisitely peaceful wedding venue. It was here at Fern Acres where this lovely couple tied the knot in front of family, friends, and nature with a beautiful ceremony and reception celebration that followed. For many, the small, isolated town of Forks on the Olympic Peninsula elicits imagery of vampires and werewolves, popularized by the Twilight saga. And while I can’t say that I saw any vampires speeding through the forests, I was struck by how beautiful, peaceful, and quiet Fern Acres is, with it’s lush grounds that are all personally tended by the owners (who live on site) and the ceremony area located within a grove of fir trees. These two wanted a peaceful forest setting for their wedding – a place away from it all and this was absolutely perfect!
It was a fairytale-esque wedding. Her gown, with it’s intricate lace detail was absolutely beautiful and her entrance as she walked along the winding path through the trees with her father to meet her groom at the front of the aisle was certainly like something out of a fairytale. These two looked absolutely amazing! I loved his blue suit as well and the bouquets all looked perfect among the gardens and natural splendor of the grounds. And the dances and heartfelt speeches brought everyone to tears for sure!
Congratulations to both of you! I had an incredible time with you and your family and friends and wish you both many years of happiness as you begin your lives together as husband and wife. Enjoy a sneak peek at a few of the many highlights!
