This wonderful family flew all the way from San Jose, CA for their family photography session! It isn’t every weekend that a family I’ve gotten to know and photograph over the years flies into town, so this was a special treat! And the weather cooperated too! In fact, I think we pretty much hit the jackpot in terms of fall colors and the weather on this one! The leaves are mostly all gone as I write this, but they were sure vibrant on that day! I took them to one of my favorite locations in the mountains that involves some walking around since you can’t drive all the way in there this time of year. It was an amazing adventure!!! I’m sure we walked a good 3 miles or so, much of it through mud, precariously balancing on rocks to get across streams of water, and you know, the usual stuff you find out there. 😉 I can’t believe how much taller their boys are now! Their oldest is just about to pass up their mom and their youngest is not too far behind either!

Thank you all for the absolutely fantastic family adventure session! I love that we got a little of everything out there – beautiful views, water, mountains, evergreen trees, fall colors, and of course, some mud too! After all, it wouldn’t be a fall session in the Pacific Northwest without at least some mud! Good call on the shoes too! They had texted me the morning of from the shoe store asking if they should go darker or white with the shoes… White would not have fared particularly well out there, that is for sure!
