Happy New Year! I thought I would start off 2012 with part 2 of Sim & Gill’s beautiful Fremont wedding and reception. This post features the post-ceremony events, including the vidai (bride’s farewell) and reception. If you haven’t seen it already, please do have a look at Part I here. It was absolutely a magnificent wedding and we are thrilled to have had the honor of capturing so many beautiful moments for such a wonderful couple. We had a blast! Congratulations Sim & Gill and enjoy your second sneak peek at your wedding. Best wishes to both of you in the New Year!
First a few more from their ceremony inside the Fremont Gurdwara.
Just outside the Gurdwara, the groom must now attend to the task of buying back his shoes that were taken by the bride’s cousins before the ceremony. Once again, cash is preferred, thank you!
I wonder just how much he had to pay to get them back….!
And shortly afterwards, the vidai!
We love capturing the bittersweet emotion of the vidai as she bids farewell to her family to be with her new husband. Some very touching moments indeed!
I love this one – one of my favorites of the entire day. Her mother is feeding the two of them as they are about to drive off, while Sim’s tearful cousin snaps a photo in the reflection…
And the married couple!
Then a change of attire to prepare for the amazing reception! Sim wore another amazing lehnga!
And then the party!
Congratulations you two!
