I photographed this lovely couple six years ago for their engagement, just before they were married. Now, they are expecting their first child next month and I’m so glad I got to capture this special occasion for them! We met up at Mount Rainier and had a great time exploring the beautiful area. It was so great to see them again! They both looked amazing and so excited to welcome their new baby boy! And I loved Harman’s dress! Long, flowing, and cinching just above the belly for the perfect way to show her baby bump! She had mentioned how much she loves going to Mount Rainier, so being in that setting with her husband and new baby on the way, she was absolutely glowing!

Even though it was late August, we still saw a plethora of wild flowers blooming and everything was so lush and green! It really looked like Spring had just started! And those trees!!! So many sub-alpine firs (my favorite tree on the planet) growing everywhere, their slender conical shapes perfectly adapted to a climate of long winters with very heavy snowfall. Really, such a magical place!

Congratulations to both of you! Having a child will change your life forever in ways that you can’t possibly imagine… until it actually happens! You’ll have to give up some of the things you used to have time for and like to do, for a while anyway. But (as I’m sure other parents will agree), once you hold that new baby of yours in your arms, you’d never wish it any other way. 🙂 Enjoy this speak and I wish you both so much joy and happiness as you welcome your new baby!
