And finally, here it is – part I of Sonia & Rushi’s wedding at the San Francisco Design Center! A dazzling feast for the eyes, it featured a spectacular location, amazing details (just wait until you see the tables and cake at the reception too!), great people, and a very lovely couple! Suffice to say, we had a blast! And as you’ll see in the photographs, so did everyone else in attendance! Congratulations Sonia & Rushi! Thank you both for the opportunity to photograph your gorgeous wedding! There are soooo many more beautiful photographs that I wish I could just post them all, but creating these posts takes time too of course… For now, enjoy a quick look at just a few of my favorites in sneak peek part I! This includes the bride & groom preparations, the baraat, and ceremony.
Vendors:
Coordinator: Avant Planners. Purvi, you did an amazing job organizing this wedding – thank you!
Table Decorations: Fine Linen Creations
Videography: Martin Films
Flowers: Floramor
Baraat Horse: Fancy Wheelin
Sonia got ready at her parent’s beautiful home in Hillsborough. Her makeup looked absolutely amazing – love the close-ups!
Her mehndi was absolutely beautiful!
Meanwhile, at a nearby hotel (OK, it was the San Mateo Marriott), Rushi was also getting ready. For guys, this usually takes a total of about 5 minutes… OK, maybe 10 minutes if the hair is not cooperating…!
Sonia’s lehnga was just stunning, full of absolutely gorgeous details!
And then, it’s off to the San Francisco Design Center!
I love this one of Rushi on the horse!
I love photographing the baraat! The whole crowd filled the street by the San Francisco Design Center with cheering, dancing, and of course, drums! Here, you can tell the entire groom’s side is already celebrating, with Rushi and his sister in the center!
A short distance away, the bride’s side is preparing to receive the groom and his family just outside the main entrance to the Design Center.
And then both families meet! Here, the bride’s mother and groom’s mother hug!
Of course, getting married will cost the groom some money too!
After the bride leads the groom the last time around the fire, whoever sits down first is said to get the “upper hand” in the marriage. Can you guess who made it to their seat first?!!!
And I’ll leave you with one final image from this post – Sonia & Rushi stepping down from the stage for the first time as husband and wife!
Part II coming soon!
