I love maternity sessions! Photographing couples during this incredibly exciting time is really unlike anything else. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of my sessions and all of my clients – each is unique and beautiful in its own way! But to see that profound joy and glow of anticipation for the new life waiting to enter the world as you’ll see in this post… almost brings tears to my eyes when I go through the images! It brings back memories of those weeks before my own daughter was born. And as a father, I have to say that there is absolutely nothing in life that compares to the joy that a new child brings! It is just one of those things that you have to be a parent yourself to fully understand… and when you do, you’ll know… =]

For this session, we ventured out to Crissy Field in San Francisco for some spectacular views and interesting spots in-between! Crissy Field is one of my favorite places in San Francisco for photographs because it has so much variety all within a short walk or drive. We had an absolutely amazing time! I loved working with this couple – so warm and genuine. And the photographs are simply stunning! I could have easily included a hundred here, but for now, enjoy this sneak peek! I’ve done plenty of sessions with one dog, but it’s not often that I get to do a session with two! I love this one – one of my favorites from the session!Another one of my favorites – this image just gives me a huge smile every time I look at it.I love this one. The way she is looking at him is just beautiful and the setting is gorgeous.  But alas, the small size I have to use for my blog here hardly does it justice…!
