I’m so excited to post a sneak peek of this absolutely gorgeous fairy-tale elopement in the Cascade Mountains. I remember scouting this location a few months before the shoot, seeing this pristine mountain lake, snaking its way through this valley as it pulled my eyes through the valley and towards higher peaks looming in the distance, lines outlining the hills and mountains all converging in a gorgeous zigzag… It was perfect. And the trees… I’m more convinced now than ever before that the Pacific Northwest has the most beautiful trees in all of the world. Endless seas of pine trees carpet the hills and valleys with their intricate patterns, reaching ever upwards, punctuated by moss-covered rocks, serene lakes, and snow-covered peaks… And while in the winter, this place becomes a frozen, snowy wonderland, in the summer, it truly is a paradise to behold.

And so it was that on a warm summer evening, we made our way to Lake Kachess, near Snoqualmie Pass. There, with the mountains and trees bearing witness, and looking out across the water, this gorgeous couple celebrated their love for each other. It truly was like a fairy-tale. We weren’t there for long as the sun quickly marched towards the horizon, but it was epic nonetheless. And I’m so glad that I got to be a part of it.
