I love shooting in San Francisco. Everywhere I look I find amazing locations – full of personality, texture, color, and beauty. I especially love Golden Gate Park. I suppose part of it is the fact that I used to live nearby and I ran through there all the time, so I know just about every trail. But I think it’s also because the park is just so incredibly huge and has so much variety – really a photographer’s dream! But I digress… let’s talk about this wonderful couple and their maternity session!

I met this expecting couple through a referral and again it was one of those sessions where I knew instantly that we were going to have a lot of fun! It really wasn’t long before they were both relaxed and full of natural expressions. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and created the perfect backdrop to show off mom-to-be’s belly for the first time in front of the camera. Thank you both so much for the wonderful afternoon! I really enjoyed our session and look forward to capturing newborn photographs for you soon when your baby girl arrives!

Doesn’t she look beautiful on the bench?Oops, forgot to mention that their dog also joined us! A well-behaved schnauzer to be precise!They wanted a few portraits with the Golden Gate bridge in the background, so at the end, we made a very quick stop by Baker Beach. I say quick because it was sooooo cold that we could only stay a few minutes! The biting wind was literally pummeling us with sand and spray from the ocean! I could tell that mom-to-be was so cold, but determined to put on a good smile or two for the photographs and it really paid off!
